Batik is a traditional fabric painting technique that uses dots and wax lines to decorate cloth, creating mesmerizing designs. A visit here offers an incredible sensory experience — a blend of vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and the distinctive scent of wax. Through observation and a bit of guidance, visitors can learn about the meanings and origins behind each Batik motif.

Mas Village, located in Ubud, Gianyar Regency, is an artistic countryside focused on wood carving art. The village’s carving style emphasizes harmony between humanism and naturalism. It is home to some of Bali’s legendary woodcarvers, such as the late Ida Bagus Nyana and his son Ida Bagus Tilem. As you stroll through the village, you’ll find countless art shops showcasing exquisite carvings surrounded by lush rice fields — a perfect glimpse into the dual life of Balinese villagers as both artists and farmers.
